about

A song which came to be in the wake of Zen Franklin's dissolution, and recorded by Nature: The Band as an electrified romp years ago. It still carries that Black Keys-y energy, but is has been arranged to a more rootsy, warm and acoustic tone. It was recorded live with Emily Karl on fiddle around a single microphone, and that raw energy was amplified by the added drums and bass. It's garage folk!

lyrics

She played me like a guitar,
I let her bang me like a drum.
The taste of her breath,
Was like coconut rum

Ain't too easy to remember,
A little hard to forget
You tried the shoe on baby,
So tell me if it fits

What are you waiting for?
Waiting for me?
What are you waiting for?
Baby, baby, baby

I move slow like a snail,
Bull-headed as an ox
I could tell from her tail,
The girl was a fox

Weren't too easy to remember,
A little hard to forget
You tried the shoe on baby,
So tell me if it fits

What are you waiting for?
Waiting for me?
What are you waiting for?
Baby, baby, baby
